We are currently looking to strengthen our teams with working students in the following focus areas:

1. General Software Development – Help advance, test, and maintain core components of our proteomics software.

2. Infrastructure / DevOps / Cloud-Ops – Support the deployment and scaling of cloud-based systems used in high-throughput data analysis.

3. Machine Learning for Proteomics – Apply and extend ML models to extract insights from complex biological mass spectrometry data.

As a working student at MSAID, you will:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our AI-driven proteomics platform.

• Develop and maintain scalable software solutions, contributing to tools like CHIMERYS and INFERYS.

• Implement and optimize cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring robust and efficient data processing pipelines.

• Engage in code reviews, testing, and documentation, adhering to best practices in software development.

We are seeking students who:

• Are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related fields.

• Have proficiency in programming languages related to the position (see above)

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus

• Exhibit a strong interest in proteomics and life sciences, with a desire to apply computational skills to biological data.

• Are available to work 16–20 hours per week
